I don’t know
what to write.
It says
something
but I have to do
a thing.
Anything?
On a page?
Do I write
on the back?
And
when do I start?
Ok,
ok.
Me.
What’s important
to me.
What is meaningful
to me?
Do erasers count?
What about marbles?
Just start?
Anywhere?
Ok,
ok.
But wait.
Now,
I want to think.
Can I think?
As I write.
Ok.
My brother stole my marbles that my mother gave me
before she left and he said he put them under the bed
but then noni must of been sweeping because
their not there anymore and now there gone.
Gone.
…I’m ok.
I think this is hysterical! I hear this coming from the students I work with on a daily basis…anything to avoid the hard work of writing!
Thank for the lightness of the piece.

Once again, these little voices become so big on the screen! I am so drawn in by the characters you are creating.
